Initiatives and Activities

The Institute’s priority issues and initiatives are determined annually in consultation with the institute’s council of advisors.

The Institute facilitates information exchange, educational efforts and consensus building regarding policy options that are supportive of a 21st century re-envisioning of a health system that centers equity, reduces patient risk and sustains the health and well-being of families and communities.

This aspirational vision is advanced through structured, targeted, evidence-based engagement and responses to public and commercial sector policy and regulatory issues at the federal and state levels. Institute activities can include Thought Leaders in Equity Roundtables, issue-specific educational efforts, monthly briefings, policy webinars, and social media campaigns.
